Roast Beef Sirloin - Low Sodium Recipes

Low Sodium Roast Beef Recipe

3 Pounds Beef Roast Sirloin (about 876mg sodium)
2 Pounds Baby Red Potatoes (0mg sodium)
2 Cloves of Garlic
2 Onions (12mg sodium)
1 Cup Red Wine (12mg sodium)
1 Teaspoon AlsoSalt (0mg sodium)
1 Teaspoon Thyme
1 Teaspoon Fresh Rosemary
1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
1 Teaspoon Olive Oil (0mg sodium)
1 Teaspoon All-Purpose Flour (<1mg sodium)


Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Rub the beef with peeled garlic cloves and AlsoSalt.
Heat a large roasting dish on the stove.
Place the beef in the roasting dish and lightly brown the meat on all sides.
Peel and halve the onions, place onions and garlic in the roasting dish with the beef on top.
Cook in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
For medium, 150 degrees on a meat thermometer.
While the beef is roasting, peel and cook the potatoes in boiling water for 10 minutes.
After 30 minutes, add the potatoes, rosemary, thyme and black pepper to the beef roasting dish and bake for the final 30 minutes.
After roasting, place the beef and potatoes on serving plate and remove the excess fat from the roasting dish.
Add 1 Teaspoon of flour to the gravy remaining in the roasting dish and bring to a simmer on the stove with medium heat for about 10 minutes.
